Road Trip to San Sebastian - Part 1

The day after Oviedo we took of for two nights in San Sebastian, Spain, a three hour drive east of Ribadesella.
Sites from the road:
Suspension bridge with supports in the middle of the bridge.  Never seen such a thing before.

Cool tunnel.

Building on a pedestal.
We stopped in Castro-Urdiales, in the Principado (province) de Cantabria, for lunch, per the suggestion of Maria-Adele.  What an incredibly sweet and beautiful town!
Restaurant along the street where we ate.  There was also a restaurant named Laredo.

Looking cool in Castro Urdiales

This place looks like a movie set.  Medieval castle, 19th century lighthouse and harbor.

Castle with Iglesia de Santa María de la Asunción, from the 13th century.

Oliver's seagull picture.

A candidate for the Sign Spotting book.

Not all of Castro Urdiales was picturesque...

Fish swimming in what appears to be remnants of the moat.

Castro Urdiales as seen from the castle.
