To the Lighthouse and Tereñes

We were all pretty tired from our 2-day, 5-city roadtrip.  We had the car for two more days but didn't want to go too far from home.  Carlos told us that at 5PM the finals of the Asturian bowling tournament were going to be held in the main square.  Couldn't miss that!
Off we went to find the Ribadesella lighthouse and check out the town of Tereñes, just west of Ribadesella.
Finding the lighthouse was a bust.  How could we miss such a thing?  Baffling.  We thought we exhausted all road options but oh well...we can always go for a little hike down to the rocks and mess around in the tide pools.

The boys never tire of this.

Teamwork

Happy to sit and soak up the view and salt air.  Besides, the rocks were very slippery and I didn't want to fall and break anything.

Three heads are better than one!

Back to lunch at a restaurant where we parked in Tereñes...just a 15 min walk back up the hill.  We'll have to look for the lighthouse again another day.

Sangría de sidra, croquetas de cabrales y pollo con ajo

Sardinas fritas (parrochas).  Not my favorite but I had to try them.  One or two is enough for me.

What beautiful children I have.

Not posing, that's why it's such a nice picture!
